A Bit of the Origins of Iron Man
Iron Man is another in a long line of superheroes from the comic series created by Marvel Comics. Iron Man saw his debut back in 1963, in Issue Number 39 called “Tales of Suspense”.
The character’s given name was Anthony “Tony” Stark, and he is a playboy entrepreneur and engineer extraordinaire who endures brutal heart damage when he was kidnapped. The kidnappers try to force Stark into building a killer weapon, but Stark fakes his way through and creates the infamous Iron Man armored suit. The Iron Man suit allows Stark to save his life, and it becomes the genesis for his company, Stark Industries.
We had to wait until 2008 for this great comic book character to grace the big screens when Robert Downey, Jr., was tapped for the lead of Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. The Iron Man’s debut on the big screen was an enormous success, which immediately lead to the sequel and the subject of our humble web site: Iron Man 2, which was released in 2010. Thankfully, Iron Man 2 was a sequel that experienced as much success as the original screen version. Now we look forward to Robert Downey, Jr. to don the Iron Man costume once again as we await the arrival of Iron Man 3, which is in the planning stages now.
